Important Access Announcement (February 14, 2011):
The UMLS Terminology Services (UTS) is available at https://uts.nlm.nih.gov. The UTS, which replaced the UMLSKS as of January 31, 2011, includes a new license request interface and incorporates the browsing and API features of the UMLSKS. To retain access to UMLS-related applications and UMLS resources, you will need to enter into a new UMLS Metathesaurus License Agreement with NLM.

For instructions on requesting a license and accessing the UTS, see How to License and Access the Unified Medical Language System® (UMLS®) Data. License requests must be submitted through the new UTS interface. After NLM approves your license request, your UTS account is established.

We utilize the UTS authentication information for access to the restricted areas of the various Semantic Knowledge Representation Group's web sites.

If you already have access to an UTS account, you can simply use that username and password to access the restricted areas of this site.

If you do not have a UTS account, you will need to set up an account. For instructions on requesting a license and accessing the UTS, see
How to License and Access the Unified Medical Language System® (UMLS®) Data.
